What do you want to use EU for?

If it's just to get your files from camera to computer, forget about EU entirely. It is totally unnecessary and can be confusing.. You can see the images in Windows Explorer, so just move them wherever you want them to go. If EU starts automatically when you connect camera and computer, you can make that stop. EU runs in the background all the time by default and that can be disabled.

I'm having problems downloading images from my EOS Rebel T3 via EOS Utility 2. I've done this numerous times in the past, but now it's not working.

I'm running Windows 10. I plug in the camera via the USB cable, the EOS Utility Ver 2 splash screen shows up and then exits, no EOS Utility interface window is displayed. The SD card shows up on the Windows Explorer for My PC and I can see the images on the SD card.

Is there a log file for EOS Utility Ver 2 to see what's the problem?

Any recommendations on how to debug this problem?

I'm using EOS Utility Version 2.14.

thanx in advance

NOTE: I also have EOS Utility Ver 3 installed for my EOS SL3

I like EU's feature to rename the files and sort by date. You are correct, I could manually do this by hand copying the files, but it's a manual process. Renaming every file would be excessively wasteful in terms of time.
