To add to Rick's comment, select Windows 8.1(x64) as the OS then download and install "EOS Digital Solution Disk Software 29.1A", then run the updater to get you current.

I had to have a computer wiped clean. I no longer can locate the original CD that came with my camera to download the EOS Utility program. The only download I can locate is the "updater" one and it won't work to install the app as it keeps telling me I don't have the problem installed in order for to update.

How can I obtain the original download with no CD? Windows 10 (64 bit)

Greetings,

You can download software for your camera from its support portal.

https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-rebel-t5

Everything available is at the link above. This is preferable because you'll be able to download and install the latest versions of the software instead of an earlier version from an old or outdated CD.
