EOS 500D Serial number generates error when trying to download software

I've been trying to download the EOS Digital Solution Disk Software but when I put in my serial number it comes up with an error. What do I do?

I'm using an EOS 500D, I've got Windows 11 and the error message is:

The serial number you have entered is incorrect, or does not belong to an applicable product.
Please check the product serial number and the applicable product to make sure it is correct and re-enter it in the field.

I've put in the serial number several times without success.

With a handle like that, and having a 500D rather than a Rebel, I would guess you are from the land of Oz! If so, gidday from Kiwitopia! 👍

It's software on the solutions disc but not the disc itself.

I found the solution! It was pretty obvious, now that I think about it. My camera is not compatible with this particular software, so I just had to find one that was compatible and then it finally worked.
