    <description>&lt;P&gt;DPP4 does not automatically download files to the computer, but it does access a designated location and create thumbnails for viewing.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Uninstalling and reinstall DPP4.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Try starting DPP4 using this technique:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Screenshot 2022-12-20 091414.jpg" style="width: 999px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/38250iE7373606D2AAAC12/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="Screenshot 2022-12-20 091414.jpg" alt="Screenshot 2022-12-20 091414.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Go into Tools-&amp;gt;Preferences and configure the default folder.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Good morning&amp;nbsp; first off i am a newbie &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt; I have just installed the DPP software onto a fresh install of weindows 10. when I open the software up the program tries to download all my photos from online, i just want the software to deal with the photos on my computer. Every time i cancel the download the soft ware freezes. This auto starts so i have no access to settings prior to the download starting. Any advise would be muchly appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Apprentice&lt;/P&gt;</description>
