I'm using Canon's Camera Connect (CC) app on Android with an R5 and flash trigger (Broncolor for Canon) that works pretty well! Having the flash trigger attached gives me exposure simulation (ES) so I can see my subject in CC's live view. I notice that there's a timeout period between the live view image and when I last focused or pressed the CC shutter. Once this timeout has elapsed, in order to regain the live view image, I have to reacquire by activating the CC autofocus. Is there a setting on the R5 or CC where this timeout period can be increased?

Thanks!

Hi there,

I don't see any settings which would be specific to this, but I think it is worth investigating changing the Metering Timer in your menu for a longer duration. That would be the only function I can think of which might have an effect on this.
