First post here, thanks in advance for any input. My question centers around the EOS remote app. The Canon site indicates it only works with cameras having built in wireless, meaning only the 6D. I found that perplexing since the WFT devices should yield same connectivity. I sent an email to Canon tech support and was told if I had the appropriate WFT device it would work, but when you start the app it only lists the 6D option as you pick a camera. I have a 7D and a 5D3 and think this function could be quite useful. Will it work with WFT and if so how? Thanks

Hi Hotwilzz,

Canon has not announced plans to extend use of the EOS Remote App to other devices yet.

Will the EOS Remote App work on lower models (i.e. Canon Rebel T4i (650D)) if you are not using the wireless function? Can I use a USB cable to make the feature work from Smartphone or Ipad connected to my camera?
