picture style editor installed in my hp but won't on my mac, why?

Installed in my Hp when I purchased my xs it broke and I purchased an imac but the software did not install completly can anyone help me with this?

If you are using a recently updated version of the Mac OS, you will need to run the appropriate update for Picture Style Editor while the original software CD is in the CD-ROM drive. The updates are available for download on the Canon USA website. I have included a link to the download page for the EOS Rebel XS below:
