I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on adaptive equipment for taking photos. I work with students with disabilities and would love to be able to do photography and I just havent been able to figure out the adaptive equipment such as switches because they can not use the small button.

I think a first item to explore would be if any of Canon's camera control apps (e.g. the one for iOS) would be accessible. If it is, that would allow for things like VoiceOver or other types of control systems to ultimately control the main functions of the camera.

There are also remote controls for many Canon cameras. Most of them aren't very large and the tactile response is different on each. So I suppose it will matter what type of camera you plan on using. Additionally, if you are shooting in a classroom or studio setting where you are only using one camera, you could tether to a computer and shoot with a mouse click and a nice big screen through Lightroom or similar. I do that for demonstrations all of the time with my students as it's a bit difficult for them to all see an LCD screen or look through the same viewfinder.

So my plan would be for us to do some of the photos out in the community because we are starting to go out and do things. I just wonder how would I get equipment, such as buttons, hand switches or foot, any other equipment.
