are these LP-E6P batteries real?

i got these off ebay for $50 each. they look nothing like my other lpe6p batteries and the packaging is different from others i bought. i can't find any any pictures of these online. they seem to work when i put it in my camera r5 II

If they make your camera work, then they are real batteries.

If they are genuine Canon batteries is a whole different question.

They look odd to me. Maybe they are from a Canon facility to be sold in a certain region?

These are mine that are several years old.

The packs are assembled in China, but the cells and electronics are made by Panasonic in Japan. At least these that I bought in the U.S. are.

Buying off eBay there is a better than 50/50 chance they are counterfeit. Buying for $50 bucks off eBay makes it even more likely, 80/20, they are counterfeit. So, if I was a betting person I wouldn't have any problem saying, yes, those are counterfeit.

That decision is up to you but I wouldn't on a new R5 Mk II at least while it's still pretty new. They may work, you may get by with them. I bought my first off brand battery for my 1DX and it seems to work OK but it's a 14 year old camera.

Those batteries look trashed. Or at least well used. They are dirty with signs of corrosion.

If they looked like this out of the box, you were scammed and like Ernie said, the probability of them being new, genuine or authentic is low. It's unclear if they were previously used or genuine. If the dirt (condition) is the result of your use, I would recommend wiping them down periodically to keep them clean. You're putting these into an expensive camera. That's up to you.

All we can do is speculate. To be safe it's best not to buy camera gear off eBay.

came out of the box just like that. one of them cracked opened already so all 3 getting returned

Did you buy them knowing they were used? Used batteries are never a good purchase since you have no idea of their history.

If they were marked new and arrived like that, they are clearly used. I'm sure with the pictures you have., you'll be able to get a return and prove the condition was not accurately represented.

They’re most certainly grey market batteries, and used ones at that. On the back of the box it says “For PR.C Only”. That means they were meant to be only sold in the Peoples Republic of China.

You should be able to get a refund as they were clearly misrepresented.
