Hello,

I was able to take out the focusing screen myself and I found a direct replacement for it on ebay for around 15 dollars.

The focusing screen on this film camera is very dirty and i've been looking everywhere for a replacement and i can't seem to find any. Is there only one type? because i've seen that other cameras have options for focusing screens. If you guys have any knowledge about where I could find a replacement, that would be fantastic. (I have also tried cleaning it, no luck with that either)

Would I also have to have it professionally replaced or could I do it myself if I find the right part

Usually Rebel series film cameras did not have user replaceable focusing screens. Cameras that did had a custom function to tell the camera which focusing screen was installed. Changing the focusing screen can affect the camera’s metering system. User replaceable focusing screens were only offered in mid range and professional level cameras.
