Hello, when I was researching the Canon Rebel T7, I noticed that there is no mic jack, but I have seen that people use an adapter cable to connect an external mic. Anyone know if this works?

You are correct in that an external microphone cannot be used with this camera model. We are not aware of any adapter to make this possible unfortunately.

Is it possible that the people you are referring to were actually using a Rebel T7i? That particular camera does have an external microphone jack. For reference, its User Manual.
