EOS Rebel T6 not working with Aodelan Pebble wireless remote

I bought the EOS Rebel T6 (W) several years ago and later bought a wireless remote shutter release item and at first it worked pretty good but then it stopped doing anything at all so I bought a new one. This one is an Aodelan Pebble wireless remote shutter release which I bought from Amazon because it said it was worked with my camera and got good reviews but it also won't work. I have tried everything I can think of & looked everywhere I can think of. Please if any one has an idea let me know.

Since it replaces the wired remote, other than checking the batteries and seeing if there are channels you can check, there is not much else to do.

I think you need to use Bulb mode, or enable the shutter delay timer. It’s been a while since I last used a T5.

Shouldn't, this just acts like a shutter button, or at least it should.

I have never heard of Bulb mode before can you tell me what the is?

It holds the shutter open as long as you hold the shutter button down. It is a special shutter speed setting in manual mode.

But really your switch should work in any shutter mode.

Thanks so much, I was grasping at straws. I guess I'll try a wired remote now.

With this switch you can actually use an ohmmeter to verify its operation.

When halfpress activated, there should be continuity between the tip and one of the sleeve/ring on the connector. For a full press, the other sleeve/ring.
