I just recently bought a second hand Super8 camera (and my first), the Canon AF514XL-S and it seems to be perfectly working. But the lens is showing the 1.4 aperture in the viewfinder, like the picture. It seems to me it could be a problem inside the lens? Is it only on the viewfinder or it will be in the film too? Is it fixable? Thanks!

I recently picked up a second-hand Canon AF514XL-S (my first Super 8 camera), and overall it seems to be working well. However, I’ve noticed that the lens always shows f/1.4 in the viewfinder, which makes me think there might be an internal issue with the aperture or display mechanism. I’m not sure if this is just a viewfinder display problem or if it will actually affect the exposure on the film itself. Has anyone experienced this before, and is it something that can be fixed?
