I have a Vixia HF G50 and would like to know if I can connect it to my computer via its USB port to access the files on the SD card without having to remove the card.

Do you have the User Guide for the camera? This is the obvious place to look for the answer.

Unfortunately, this response (which I appreciate). did not solve my problem. I think my question wasn't clearly understood.

What happens when you plug it in?

I have a PC Windows 11 and a laptop Windows 10. On both, nothing happens when I plug it into the USB port. It just doens't connect with the camera.

Nobleman......Your question seemed perfectly clear. So if you have a clarification, let's hear it.

The manual clearly states that you can't do what you said you want.
