VIXIA HF R50 Trouble connecting to Wi-Fi and phone

Hey, ive been trying to connect my canon vixia HF R50 to the wifi for a while now and i cant seem to understand how too, im trying to connect it to my phone via a canon transfer app but nothing seems to work please help.

The VIXIA HF R50 camcorder does include built-in Wi-Fi capabilities and it allows for the camcorder to connect to mobile devices, like smartphones, using the Canon CameraAccess plus app. Please review the steps on page 120 of the camcorder's user guide for instructions on how to set up the connection.
