HV20 won't play back old tapes

My old HV20 wouldn't play my videos after buying other camcorders I found that I'd have buy another HV20 A, I got one and it played back several of my old tapes, but now the same day its not playing anything! Is there a reason I can resolve?

Any help appreciated.

If your camera is the VIXIA HV20, it has been retired. As a result, all official Canon support has ceased. We no longer perform repairs or have parts for that unit.

Thanks for your reply, I wasn't expecting to have anything to do with Canon themselves, I thought that somebody on the forum might have any ideas on how to troubleshoot my situation.
