Canon VIXIA HF G20 Cameras HDMI Output Broken

I have 7 Canon cameras in my classroom. Over the last 3 years, the mini HDMI outputs have stopped working in some of the cameras. 5 out of 7 no longer work. Can the HDMI input plugs be replaced in these cameras? Or has wear and tear taken its toll. I have one camera that has been mounted and untouched for 5 years and the output started flickering today. Now it's completely gone and that makes camera # 5 that doesn't work. I've tried different plugs just to be sure.

If I were you, I'd call support.

There are a handful of things we could all speculate that could be causing the problem, but support can try to help narrow it down, and at the very least walk you through sending it in for service. Support is at 800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666), Monday through Friday.

I suggest that you provide some sort of strain relief going forward.

I contacted support. They told me that they no longer service this model. Again, all 7 cameras work, I just can’t go live anymore.
