Vixia M52 - Why doesn't the camera auto-save "manual mode" settings?

I'm using a Vixia M52 camcorder. When I'm in manual shooting mode, I make adjustments to the white balance and exposure setting, however once I turn the camera to playback mode, it forgets the manual settings. How do I SAVE manual settings so I don't have to bother readjusting everything every time? Thanks in advance,

Hi Freeverse,
The settings should be retained in your camcorder when you turn it off. The only time an issue should occur is when if the battery is removed for a couple of weeks.

If this isn't the case, unfortunately, your camcorder requires repair.
