    <description>&lt;P&gt;I think this &lt;A href="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Camcorders/New-XA11-Owner-3-5-Mic-Question/m-p/347809" target="_self"&gt;post&lt;/A&gt; is relevant for you.&amp;nbsp; Basically you need a power mic or a mic that can accept phantom power.&amp;nbsp; The VMic Mini is a passive mic and won't work as you expect on the XA11.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Via 1/8" mic port: needs to be powered mic, i.e. Rode VideoMic NTG (battery powered)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;VIA XLR, either powered or be able to accept phantom power, i.e. RODE NTG1 shotgun mic&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I purchased a Canon XA11 and I purchased a Saramonic VMic Mini hooked it all up for church service today and did my recording and there was no sound.&amp;nbsp; I went into the menu to adjust the mic, but something is not working&amp;nbsp; I am using the XLR connections.&amp;nbsp; Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong.&amp;nbsp; I have tried everything.&amp;nbsp; Thank you&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
