topic VIXIA-HF-R800 distorted on Zoom app in Camcorders

I am trying to use a VIXIA-HF-R800 to live stream. It worked well when live streaming to YouTube; however, we are now trying to use the Zoom app and connect that to YouTube.

The problem is a distorted image on Zoom (and therefore on YouTube). It is vertically stretched so that people and objects are tall and skinny (with no complaints from the people!), and the top and bottom of the Zoom image are cut off.

We are coming out of the camera's HDMI terminal and into an Avermedia Live Gamer Mini_GC311. That device is connected to a laptop USB port.

Hi,

Based on what you describe it sounds like the resolution or aspect ratio on Zoom is not properly set. The camera is going to output a 1920x1080 60i signal through the HDMI port so you will want to be sure the resolution on your webcam settings for Zoom is set to 1920x1080 and/or that the aspect ratio is set to 16:9
