topic Streaming with the VIXIA HF R800 in Camcorders

We want to use the Camcorder HF R800 as a permanently mounted streaming camera. The camera would be about 15 feet off the ground. Thus, no one can simply reach up and turn the camera on or off without a ladder. Any ideas as to how we might be able to manage the power, keep the power on, or to turn it on and off without having to climb the ladder?

Hi there,

It looks like this one would have to have the On/Off button physically pressed in order to power the camcorder on so as far as I can tell the camera cannot be powered on remotely, so aside from some other mechanism which would press that button in place of a human there does not appear to be another simple way to affect the power.
