Thanks. What would be the bitrate at 3840x2160 50p 8-bit 4:2:0 and how much lower is this than 4:2:2?

In the specs for the Canon XF 405 it says the external output via the HDMI socket at 25p is 4:2:2

Does this mean it is uncompressed 4:2:2 or ProRes 4:2:2?

It should be uncompressed. Manual should also state if it would be either 8-bit or 10-bit.

It would not be ProRes; only very few of Canon's high end cinema cameras offer ProRes as a codec choice.

That I do not know (actual bitrates of uncompressed signals). But as a rule of thumb for 8-bit 4:2:0 vs 10-bit 4:2:2, the 8-bit variant should be around 60% less data than the 10-bit variant. Part of that is the less bits per component, but also less color information too.
