topic XC 10 grip starting to get loose in Camcorders

I bought an XC 10 used a couple of months ago. I really like this little camera, but the grip/battery holder on the side is starting to come loose. Is there any way to tighten this short of sending it off for repair? Thanks.

In looking in the manual, I see nothing that can be done. The handle appears to not be removable, so if it's been moved alot or force put on it over time, I think it would unforutnately tend to get loose.

Thus, I think your best bet is to reach out to Canon to see about a repair.

I seem to remember folks having trouble as well with the C100 line due to the single connector of the handle. Models with two connectors (or those that use rosette-style connectors) would prevent such slipping.
