I cannot find how to turn off the date/time so it does not show in my movies. Lots of other stuff to learn, too.

Are you asking about turning off the data code (date/time) during playback? If yes, look on page 147 of the manual for instructions on how to turn it off during playback. Link to Canon Vixia HF G30 manual.

That appears to be for the Time Code. WhatI dont' want on my movies is the date and time the video was recorded.

Is the date and time only appearing during playback on the camcorder or does it still display the date and time once it is offloaded to a computer?
