What is the Highest Quality Recording Setting for Canon Vixia HF R500?

Is it AVCHD 60P 28 Mbps or MP4 60P 35 Mbps?

Does the higher bit rate of the MP4 format mean that it is a higher quality recording or not?

The highest quality is MP4 60P 35 Mbps. Generally speaking, the higher the bit rate, the better the quality.

Thanks for that answer. What about the difference between how audio is recorded for the AVCHD and MP4 settings?

What is the difference in audio recording between these two and which form of audio is better quality?
