I want to use my Vixia HF R80 to live stream for Zoom meetings.

Can this camera be a a webcam?

The VIXIA H R80 is not designed to be used as a web cam. We recommend a cheap, purpose built web cam for use as web cam.

The R80 is advertised as having streaming capability. Instructions say you can connect via Wi-Fi to an access point. Give it a try and see if it will work.

I've been able to use the R80 as a webcam, but it required using an HDMI input capture device ($100). I was able to connect the HDMI cable from the R80 to the capture device which connects to the PC by USB. My PC recognized it as a regular webcam.
