Can you connect the Optura to a video monitor or your TV to test whether or not it is the screen? Try connecting it to an external monitor and record. If the problem is not seen on the external monitor then it could be a Optura screen issue.

Hello My canon optura 20 sometimes has vertical lines that look like window shutters on a patio door, sometimes just black screen. ( looks like vertical shutters) Sometimes they go away and I can view and record just fine. When in playback mode never shows vertical shutter lines, always plays back fine. What could this be? Thanks Jerry. PLEASE HELP. SOMEONE MUST KNOW SOMETHING.
