Noob question - should I record in a 'Cinema' mode or just do it in post?

Hello,

I just picked up a used Canon Vixia G10. I'd like to shoot in 24p (1080p), but there are some interesting 'cinema mode filters' on the device.

I'll be using Final Cut Pro X for post editing.

I'm thinking of NOT using those filters for shooting and just trying to do it in post. Does that give the greatest flexibility?
