Connecting camcorder to computer

I recently purchased a new Packard Bell imedia s2185 computer which only has 2 usb ports ie usb 2 and usb 3 how can i connect my MVX35i camcorder to transfer and edit my mini dv recordings as there is no port for the ieee1394.6 or 4 pin dv cable.

You may be able to do it using the A/V cable and an external video capture device. You would connect the A/V cable to the capture device and connect the capture device to the computer via a USB cable.
