My Vixia HF G30 shipped with a battery model BP 820. When I went to order a spare I noted it came up as a model BP 828.
What is the difference? Are they both compatible with the G30? Is the 828 superior than the 820?

Hi RosieZak!

Both are compatible with your VIXIA HF G30. The difference is the capacity of the batteries. The BP-828 has a higher capacity, lasting longer between charges.
