topic VIXIA R800 not connecting to ATEM Television Station via HDMI in Camcorders

I’m having a problem linking a Canon Vixia HF R800 to an original ATEM Television Studio switcher.

While the camera connects using a 50 ft HDMI cable for our downstairs Saturday evening worship service, when I bring it upstairs it will not connect using a similar 50 ft cable.

I also tried a 25 ft cable which worked last Sunday but won’t work this week.

The camera sends a signal directly to the multi-view monitor so I know the cable and connection are good.

I’ve read several posts dealing with similar issues and I’ve read items elsewhere involving HDMI handshakes.

I’ve tried turning pieces off and on and that doesn’t seem to work. What should I try next?

Suggestions would be appreciated.
