XA40 focus ring very slow

I have my XA40's focus ring response time set at the fastest yet it takes two and a half full turns of the ring to focus from 1mtr to 4mtrs this seems very slow to me?

Hi there,

These focus rings are electronically coupled rather than mecahnically coupled so they are going to respond more significantly with a faster turn than with a slower turn even when those turns go the same distances, so I expect you will be able to affect the focus more significantly with less turning when you turn the ring faster.
