XA11 PAL -> NTSC Conversion

Hello Canon Community!

This may be a long shot and I think I already know the answer of 'no' for this.

Was wondering if there's any way I as the end user of a PAL XA11 can convert the system to NTSC.

Appreciate any and all insight.

The XA11 is not a dual-standard (switchable PAL/NTSC) camcorder. Canon do provide an upgrade service for standards conversion:

You might want to inquire if the XA11 is eligible, and the price. It's not something you, as an end-user, can do yourself, AFAIK. By that I mean, it's obviously a firmware conversion but not one that is available to the general public.
