Hi. I have the first two cameras. Since all shoot in MXF, how is it that the XC15 data rate is double these two XFs. Since it is not shooting raw, why the huge file size?

I understand it is a B camera to the cimema EOS camcorders, but is the XC15 image better than the 705?

Answer: 305 mb/s results from intraframe recording, in which each frame is saved as an image. Better in editing, but much bigger. Definitely not better than the 705, which has a different file format.

The XF400 uses long GOP, which is processor intensive during editing. So best to record XF400 footage to a recorder, saving pro-res or similar format.
