I currently have the EFS 10-18mm, the EFS18-55mm,and the EFS 28-135mm which I use on my T8I and find them all to be of very good quality. I do find that the 18-135 is overall a very versatile lens and might be worth the extra weight. With that in mind if you are going to take the 70-200 the 18-50 would be a good match to cover what you might need as far as focal length.

Hello everyone i need some help on buying a new lens, i'm currently using r10 with rf70-200 f4L and efs18-135 with original adapter, i'm considering to buy a new lens sigma 18-50 to replace the heavy 18-135, i need a lighter lens as i'm going to travel to japan next month, is there any good optional lens that is light and good quality image as the 18-50? i'm bring the 70-200 to japan as well so i need something light and cover the 20-50range, i don't mind ef lens as i'm keeping the original adapter, thank you in advance!

How about the Canon RF 15-30mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens or if you have the dime the Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens. A lens in the 15mm to 35mm range on a R10 will be a better FL choice than one that zooms from 18mm to 50mm for general stuff.

The Canon EF-S 18-55 IS STM versions (the two latest in the series) would be a good inexpensive choice. The f/4-5.6 is the current one, available brand new. It and the f/3.5-5.6 are widely available used. The newest one is a little shorter and lighter.
