Canon mirrorless upgrade suggestions from EOS 1500D

Hi. I am looking currently for a gear that is budget friendly and mirrorless camera to uograde to. I currentky have EOS 1500D. I want to upgrade and my budget is up to £1k. I mainly do events and portrait photographies. I have a sigma 85mm Lens f/1.4 (Which I would never let go)

any advices? Thank you!

The EOS 1500D is an APS-C format body. North American version is T7.

The similar body size APS-C body in EOS mirrorless would be the R10.

Do you have other Canon EF-S lenses? That could influence your camera choice.
