For my day job I create social media content for a local dispensary/smoke shop. For fun/my side gig I shoot comedy shows and corporate/local events. I'm looking into getting more into portraits; eventually college graduations, headshots and couple photoshoots. I'm currently in the process of aggressively saving as much money as I can preparing for the Black Friday referbished canon deals. The company I work for is going to purchase the RF 100mm f/2.8 Maco for macro shots of all of our products. I'm personally planning on at least purchasing 1 lens. I'm pretty set on the RF 24-70mm f/2.8 because I think lugging around the RF 28-70 f/2 with a flash or on a gimbal would be a to bulky to run and gun.( Compelling arguments can shift this stance.) I've also been considering the 50mm 1.4 VCM. I like the nifty fifty's focal range but the auto focus is way to slow for me. It would be nice to have a higher end prime for portraits and videos. I would be open to any other lenses anyone would go well my kit. My final thought is just stick with the 24-70mm f/2.8 and get a referbished r6 ii body to have 2 bodies.
