EOS RP Body for $650 CAD from an EOS M5: Worth it?

Upgrading from my M5, very casual travel photography while on the road for work. Is this a steal of a deal and worth or should I sit tight and save. Looking for under the $1500 CAD

That price is a bit on the low side. It sounds like a used camera price. I recommend only buying used gear from a reputable used camera dealer.

You should know the abilities of the RP and the limitations and you know how much you can spend. It does seem like it must be a used camera for that price but it could also be a grey market model if that is a concern to you. That part is on you to find our before you lay your money down. "If possible, save a bit more and go for a used R8." I agree if it was my choice.

Keep in mind the RP was Canon's second endeavor in mirrorless. It's not a bad camera but the R8 is so much more capable and is 3 years newer. Here's a side-by-side for comparison.
