If you had to choose between the canon 80d or the 77d which would you pick and why?

I plan to film outdoors,food,b-roll,indoors,vlogs as well.I've taken into consideration:weight,battery life, auto focus. I've been told there's not much difference between the two expect the 80d is weather sealed opposed to the 77d that has the Digic 7. I plan on making fishing related content.

Weather Sealing: This is a big deal for fishing/outdoor content. You’ll likely deal with water spray, humidity, dirt, and unpredictable weather. The 80D can take more abuse in these conditions than the 77D.

Superior Battery Life: LP-E6N batteries in the 80D last significantly longer than the LP-E17 batteries in the 77D — crucial if you're filming long sessions outdoors where charging isn’t always possible.

All Cross-Type AF Points: While both have Dual Pixel AF for video, the 80D has 45 cross-type AF points that help with tracking subjects (like fish, hands, gear) across the frame, even in stills.

I bought the 80D when it first came out in 2016 and used it heavily for about 4 years, all of it outdoors in all types of weather - rain, falling snow, heavy fog. I liked how rugged it was for a small ASP-C body. Where many camera features are either personal taste, or dependent on types of things you will be shooting, the weather sealing is a must if you will be around wet conditions. Since you will be shooting fishing related content, that should be your deciding factor on if you need weather sealing or not.

I could list other reasons I like this camera, but it sounds like you have a lot of these covered in your original comments, and those added by Cleva. So I'll just say I highly recommend this one over the 77D.

77D doesn't have AF micro adjustment.
