2270 scan online waiting

When I go to the scan tab and press online, it sits there at waiting. Needless to say, I can't scan. Any help will be appreciated it. Thanks. Shane

Model: Canon iR2270/iR2870 PCL5e No error other than when I press the online button under scan tab, it just sits there "waiting". I am able to print, copy, etc. Scan to email is the problem. Windows 2003 Server
