Sane in linux does not recognize the scanner in the imageClass D420.

The printer section of the imageClass D420 is recognized by cups and works just fine, but sane/Xsane does not recognize the scanner section. Is a there a separate driver for the scanner section of the imageClass D420? Thank you.
