When I install and run mpnx_4_0-win-4_03-ea23_2 it does not see my scanner.

I am not happy with the current quailty of my prints. When I do a Nozzle Check Pattern the grey bar across the middle. I have tried changing both black cartidges and have run cleaning and deep cleaning. Any help would be appreciated.
