Tips & Tricks

Tip 1

Support the weight of the lens and camera with your left hand. Your right hand will steady your camera and take the photo.

Tip 2

Mind the blinking areas. Use Highlight Alert to check for overexposed zones in your snaps.

Tip 3

For battery management, that hole in your battery cover has a purpose. Blue = charged. Gray = uncharged.

Tip 4

Watch it heavy hands! Gently press the shutter release when taking pictures. Clicking too fast will result in blurry photos.

Tip 5

Don’t just toss your lens cap and camera body cap into your bag; they’re a perfect couple.

Tip 1

Put some action in your snap by cropping your subject toward the back of the frame.

Tip 2

Give your subjects the space to completely let loose, so you can take advantage of the whole frame, not just the center.

Tip 3

Snap away! Take as many pictures as you want; you don’t have to pay to get your film developed! Just delete the not-so-great ones.

Tip 4

Make your subject dominate the scene by photographing from below. Don’t fear the nostril!

Tip 5

You decide what the viewer takes away from the moment you captured. Think about the story you want to tell with your photo.
