Connecting my MP830 to my router to printer wirelessly

I previously used my Airport Express from Apple to connect my printer to my network to enable wireless printing for my family. I now have a DSL high speed internet connection with a wireless router that has the ability to accept USB devices. 

How can I set up the wireless print function this way? My computer doesn't recognize the printer while its in the USB port on the router. Any help would be great. Thanks!
