I have an EOS M5 and when I link the camera with its cable to my iMac (MacSierra 10.12.2), nothing register, and the link doesn't materialize at all. When iwas on the phone with Canon, they deemed that the camera USB port was not working. So I returned the camera on their advice, and received a replacement. The new replacement M5 has exactly the same problem. Any idea, anyone? Thanks!

Very annoying issue. Today after installing CameraWindow DC 8.10.9b for Mac OS X (and updating to macOS Sierra 10.12.3) Canon Wireless CameraWindow is still not working with my G7 X
Wireless CameraWindow has not been compatible with macOS for about on year now. Very bad product service from Canon

Did you first install the Canon Utilities prior to connecting the EOS M5? I apologize if this is redundant but there was no mention of it in your initial inquiry.

The most recent Canon CameraWindow DC 8.10.10b update from 2/22/17 is STILL NOT COMPATIBLE WITH macOS Sierra 10.12
In the Canon software release notes it says: „Wi-Fi connection is not available with 10.11/10.12“
The Canon web site list all recent CameraWindow software updates for macOS Sierra 10.12 (versions 8.10.5a/8.10.5b/8.10.7) as incompatible: „Unable to connect with USB and Wi-Fi“ (quote) https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/
Canon Wireless CameraWindow software has been incompatible with macOS Sierra 10.12 since the operating system was released in September 2016.
Why is Canon ignoring the Wireless CameraWindow compatibility issue with macOS Sierra 10.12?
