Hi anapix,

The same number should work to reach our friends with Canon Canada.

Thanks!

When I connect my camera to my phone only the old photos will show up with my old camera (I'm using the same SD card) none of the pictures I took with my cannon yesterday or today show up? Anyone know why?

No idea.  However, most phones do not recognize RAW files, just JPEGs.

Maybe the phone is looking only at the first folder it sees. Normally a different camera will create a new folder on the card.

In principle, you could connect a cell phone to a computer via its micro-USB port. (How exactly to effect a data transfer in any given case is another matter.) But if you bought the phone from a service provider, its operating system has probably been crippled to prevent any USB data transfer, because they want you to have to transfer the data over their network.

All that aside, connecting the phone to a camera would be trickier, since neither the camera nor the phone has a "Type A" USB interface.  You might be able to do it via a USB hub, but it's unlikely to be simple to set up.

Re: Camera Connect App User Guide

Thanks for the fast response, I can transfer data via the cable just fine, it just is that the app requires a wifi connection. I was wondering of there is any way to get the app configured to my camera only using a hardwired connection. putting a cable into both my camera and phone is not a problem for me, in fact if I have it plugged in, all that it does it charge the phone battery off of the camera battery. I just would like to know how to set up the app so that it can connect to my phone.
Thank you

Re: Camera Connect App User Guide

I am having a very frustrating problem.

My wife and i have been able to use the camera connect app many times to connect to our eos t6i and transfer images from the "Images on camera" function but now every time i open it, it doesn't show any images. the camera settings are set to "allow all images" to be viewed and i can use the remote function with no problems. i have reset all the settings, deleted and redownloaded the app. restarted my phone and restarted my camera and have followed the user guide exactly several times! what can i still not view any images?!?!

please help!

Re: Camera Connect App User Guide

I have a problem when it comes to hooking up to the camera's hotspot. First off, I should tell you what camera I have and that the PowerShot SX530 HS. Whenever and wherever I connect my phone to the camera, it says that the hotspot is an "unsecured network". So because this happens, I cannot use the Canon Camera app on my phone and send the photos onto my phone. Is there a way I can make the hotspot a "secured network" intead of "unsecured"? Thank you so much!
