Canon Pixma Pro-100 Firmware Update

pjglad

I am planning on updating the firmware. Per the instructions - Confirm that the sleep mode is disabled on the computer. How do I disable? I cannot find sleep mode in Printer Utilities. There is an Auto Power option which is disabled - is that sleep mode? Thanks.

Sleep Mode they are talking about is computer sleep mode, not camera sleep mode. What kind of computer?

Got it - thanks.

Another question. The printer has been configured for a static IP ethernet connection. Will I have to reconfigure after a firmware update or will the printer retain the configured settings?

My Pro-100 is connected via USB to one computer and wifi to two. I do firmware updates via USB computer but I never lose my wifi connections.

If you have saved custom paper settings in the driver you will lose them.

I downloaded the latest version of the firmware. I cannot update the firmware because the current version is 2.001 and the update is 1.100. Why is that?

You should give Canon a call at 1-800-OK-CANON. That is strange. I'm assuming it's a US model printer and not a 100S model.

Thanks. I'll call Canon on Monday. It's a US Pro-100 purchased at Best Buy in Reno.

Perhaps there is a new firmware that hasn't been released as an update yet.

I doubt that as it was purchased in January of this year.

What firmware is indicted when you do a nozzle check?
