anyone not able to print since last firmware ver.2.01?

imagePrograf Pro-4000 "Printing - Looking for printer..." firmware ver.2.01

printer was printing fine all year until the last firmware update

any suggestions?

ive connected via wifi, ethernet, usb, restarted printer & computer but no longer able to print from either photoshop or lightroom.

the macos system preferences & printer web address sees the ink levels but will not print, it is stuck at "Print Studio Pro - Printing - Looking for printer..."

the print job never makes it to the printer.

thank you in advance

hot diggity dog!  problem fixed!

- turned off imagePrograf Pro-4000

- uninstalled imagePrograf Pro-4000 software from macos "sierra" by deleting the files in a & b...

a. system preferences...>printers & scanners>printers>canon prionter> selected the - (minus) symbol at the bottom to delete printer

b. went to hd>library>printers>canon removed this entire folder to the trash

- redownloaded & reinstalled the following files:

redownloaded & reinstalled this file & followed all the installation prompts

imagePROGRAF PRO-4000 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver.16.10.1.0a (Mac)

imagePROGRAF PRO-4000 series Full Driver & Software Package (Mac)

located:

https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/professional-large-format-printers...

- re-added the printer

system preferences...>printers & scanners>printers> + add printer, updated the printer's IPv address (LAN setting)

- there is a pulldown menu to add the printer for "air print secure"  "air print" or "canon pro-4000" i selected the canon pro-4000 & typed in the IPv address from there at the prompt.

reinstalled canon applications from the canon setup prompts & re-added the canon printer there as the default with a new name, for example, "Canon_Pro-4000"  (i added the underscore)

restarted printer & restarted macos...presto!   🙂

ran a test print, back on board printing 44" wide prints!  🙂

not sure what caused the problem but found a solution by uninstalling & reinstalling drivers, software etc then restarting macos & printer.

side note, a big thank you to mr e. joseph from "freestyle photo" in hollywood california who gave me tips to further streamline the printing process & make it much faster to print!

The Airprint and Bonjour drivers that show up are Apple drivers that result in reduced capability.

The true canon drivers take a few minutes to show up (as you found).
