transporting my imageprograff pro-6100

I dont have the original box that this printer came in. I plan on building a plywood container and was wanting to 

put the printer on several types of vibration isolation pads. A Uhaul truck is pretty rigid so i want to make sure i do

whatever i need to protect it. I was also planning on surrounding it with 2" foam.

Any other suggestions or tips.

I don't think anyone can advise you on proper packaging for shipment.  If you aren't paying someone, then use your best judgement.  I usually hire movers for this and buy insurance.  Sometimes we move servers on our own, it just depends on the budget.  Hope it goes smoothly.
