PIXMA MG2922 iMac Driver & Software Needed

I'm new here & I was going to post a question, but I can't find where to do that.  Maybe someone can help me with this "reply".  I just purchased an iMac yesterday at Best Buy.  I already have a Canon PIXMA MG2922 printer at home.  I want to be able to print from my iMac to this printer.  I click on my printer and "Software and Drivers".  My Mac Version is macOS Ventura v13.  I see 5 files to download.  I downloaded all of them thinking that would enable me to print, but it hasn't and I need to download a DRIVER for my printer.  None of those 5 files was a driver.  I opened a Word document to try to print that way.  I clicked on Add Printer Canon MG 2900 Series & I clicked on Choose Driver ( Auto Select ) & it stated "Software for this printer isn't available from Apple.  Contact Canon for the latest software".  It is Sunday right now 3:24 p.m. & I called Canon, but they are closed for customer service.  I don't know what to do.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Thx.

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MG2922 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.

Hope this helps!

I just bought a Mac too, same printer as you.  Same EXACT issue.  Guess we will have to buy a new printer (not Canon)
